The GCFF supports efforts to prevent tropical deforestation and realize transitions to sustainable, low emission rural development in member states of the Governors’ Climate and Forests (GCF) Task Force. These initiatives are guided by the commitments made by GCF members in the Rio Branco Declaration.To achieve this, the GCFF has established four funding windows to enhance forest governance in GCF member states: 

These windows intend to facilitate the engagement of a wide range of stakeholders including commodity producers and purchasers; national level agencies; local and indigenous communities; civil society organizations; and subnational forestry, environmental, climate change, and agricultural agencies.

Accreditation to the GCFF is valid for a period of three years.  After the accreditation expires, institutions will be able to apply for renewal through a simplified process.

Applications may be submitted in English, Spanish, Indonesian, Portuguese, or French and are accepted on a rolling basis.

Completed applications may be submitted to: accreditation@gcffund.org. Dropbox, Google Drive, and ZIP files are all acceptable means of e-mailing large files.
